BIPOC Attachment – Mother Country Description
This 5:40 minute video provides a powerful and thoughtful articulation of the complex relationship BIPOC individuals must negotiate with their Mother Country, the United States. This self-guided training tool, begins with an outline of caregiving tasks that support relational health and ego development, while considering are these necessary and nurturing ‘mothering’ activities provided to the BIPOC Community? Part two of this training tool, uses an Attachment framework to consider a BIPOC individual’s level of relational connection or rejection from their Mother Country. Dr. Stroud narrates to compelling imagery which honors the diversity of this nation. Optional reflective questions to support the learner are available as well.
